Hello All

Just been on the phone to Chris (16.47)

Chris is staying at a youth hostel in Ann next to a lake called Ãnnsjõn. Chris sailed for two hours today on the small lake called Gevsjon (height 499 metres) just east of Ann on the E14. The road passes the lake so access is easy, ice is about 8 inches thick.

Today's temperature (Wednesday) is up to 6 degs with some water on the ice. There was a moderate wind that shifted by some 90 degrees as you sailed the lake. Chris is sailing with Jan Adstone from Ostersund. Chris reckons they must be the first ice sailors of the new season as there is no ice further south.

Last night Chris thought there was a lot of lorries and a train passing as the noise came into the room. It wasn't, it was the wind! Seems they are having the storm we had the day before in the UK. Also Chris forgot to order his breakfast. Upon waking he found the fridge bare. A truck driver staying for one night felt sorry for them and rustled up some porridge for them.

Next update planned for Friday.
